Rising Action: When Katniss Everdeen’s younger sister was elected, Katniss volunteers to replace her in “The Hunger Games”. Prior to the game, Katniss and Peeta Mellark,
another tribute from District 12, goes through various training, interviews, and tests. When all the tributes had gone through all the process, they were taken to an arena, where “The 74th Hunger Game” took place.

Climax: After 21 other tributes were killed and eliminated, Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Cato are the only surviving tributes. Katniss and Peeta fight together to survive together, while Cato struggles to win the game.

Falling Action: In the end, Katniss and Peeta become the only remaining tributes in the game. They are both considered to be winners and taken back to their home.
